The Colombia Human Rights Committee (CHRC), together with partner organizations, is honored to announce the upcoming visit of Alberto Yepes, one of Colombia’s most respected human rights defenders and experts on the peace process.
With over 35 years of experience as an activist, researcher, and expert witness before the Inter-American Court of Human Rights, Mr. Yepes has played a key role in advancing truth, justice, and accountability in Colombia. His work as coordinator of the CCEEU Observatory for Human Rights and International Humanitarian Law has been central to documenting abuses and supporting communities affected by conflict.
In October 2025, Mr. Yepes will participate in a series of events in different U.S. cities, sharing his expertise on peace, human rights, and transitional justice.
