On Thursday, October 9, 2025, the Center for Latin American Studies (CLAS) at Rutgers University will host Alberto Yepes for an in-person talk: “Expert on Peace Process and Human Rights in Colombia.”

Mr. Yepes will share his experience working for over three decades to defend human rights in Colombia, from his beginnings as a community educator to his role today as coordinator of the CCEEU Human Rights Observatory. His testimony highlights the importance of international solidarity in advancing justice and peace.
